How can I use this resource?
Learn how to create cool pixel people, pixel heroes and heroines. Pixel pictures come from the early days of computer gaming in the 1980s. But our pixel pictures aren’t produced by a computer – instead they’re created with colored pens. The templates are simply transferred onto gridded paper – an easy technique you might already know from working with mosaics or cross-stitch. Did you know that grid drawing is one of the best methods to get kids confident about drawing and practice their counting skills?
What does this resource contain?
This resource contains printable templates for constructing and coloring 28 different pixelated people. Among these templates you’ll find a few nostalgic, world-famous characters such as Zorro, Batman and one of the Ninja Turtles.
How to do it
On the worksheets you can copy and color in the figures pixel-by-pixel. On the group sheets the figures are depicted together and can be copied a bit smaller. You can use the blank pixel grids to create your own pixel figures.
