What is Dot-painting?
In dot painting, children use cotton swabs to print colorful dots - either in predefined circles or to create their own motives and patterns. For this simple technique you only need cotton swabs and watercolors or tempera pucks. Dot painting is a great activity that promotes concentration and fine motor skills.
Precisely hitting pre-given points with a colored cotton swab requires exact hand-eye coordination in a given sequence of movements. Dot-painting is therefore a great challenge for the brain!
