Only use finger paints! They’re easy to wash off of hands, objects, and textiles.

You can make handprints on all common types of paper and card. Since the paint is quite wet, thinner papers will crinkle a bit. Therefore, using card or heavier paper works better.
Fingerpaints are applied with your fingers or a paintbrush. It doesn’t make much difference if the paint is applied thickly or thinly.
To get a consistent, strong handprint you should press the painted hand down with your other, clean one. This will help you avoid leaving bare patches in the print.
To make the Queen Handprint, paint your hand and finger as shown in the small graphic. Press your hand down on the paper to make the print. Remove your hand and let the print dry. Once your handprint is dry, you can draw on it and decorate it.
