Modern Classics - About the artist and his painting:
Catalan artist Joan Miró (1893-1983) was a painter, graphic artist, sculptor and ceramist. He‘s best known for his surrealistic and imaginative pictorial motifs. His symbols of the sun, moon, stars, birds, eyes and women are among the most famous elements of his art. In terms of the content, he was dedicated to the relationship between man and nature. “One thing merges into the other. Everything forms one unit. There is no domain that is different to others. Everything is connected.“ (Joan Miró).
Hommage a Picasso

Joan Miró and Pablo Picasso were linked by a lifelong friendship. Both had emigrated from Spain to Paris where they met for the first time in 1920. “After me, it is you who will open new doors (...)“ Pablo Picasso ennobled him. Vibrant colors and simplified forms are characteristic of Miró, as is his pictorial homage to Picasso, created the year before Picasso‘s death.

How can I make the group work poster?
- Print all template pages for the poster on white printing paper.
- Color or paint the individual sheets according to the template or your own imagination. Make sure that the dotted lines around the outside remain visible.
- Once dry, cut out the colored sheets along the dotted lines and sort them- each letter in a separate pile. Then sort them by number so that 1 is on top and 4 is on the bottom.
- Glue all ‘A’ sheets together. To do so, apply glue to the long tab on the right side of sheet A1 and glue sheet A2 on top of it so that its left edge is aligned with the solid line. Glue A3 to A2, A4 to A3 and so on until the first row is complete. Repeat this process with all rows.
- Now glue row B’s upper edge to the tab on the lower edge of row A. Then glue row C to row B and so on until all rows are glued together. Your poster is finished!
