How can I use this resource?

With this resource you can make beautiful spring sun catchers with your kids - wether it's at home, in kindergarden or at school. Even small children can take part in this activity by tearing up colorful tissue paper and glueing it into the frames. The finished sun catchers will make a wonderful decoration and shine in your windows.

What does this resource contain?

12 templates for spring-themed sun catchers, each in two sizes to be cut out, stuck together, and hung up. This download includes the following spring motifs: Tulip, butterfly, ladybug, Easter egg, flower, bunny, heart, duck, cloud, shamrock, watering can and daffodil.

How to do it?

  1. Print out the desired templates for sun catchers on heavy printing paper.
  2. Fold the sheet of card in half along the middle line.
  3. Cut out the motif along the outlines through both layers of card.
  4. Fold both motifs in half along the dotted center lines.
  5. Cut out the center parts along the inner contour lines.
  6. Unfold both motifs.
  7. Stick torn or cut tissue paper onto the printed side of one frame until the inner area is covered.
  8. Stick the second frame onto the first with the edges aligned and the printed sides on the inside.
  9. Cut off the tissue paper that’s sticking out from the outer edges and hang the sun catcher in the window.
